If you’re fascinated by the art of painting restoration you can see an expert in action in Kenilworth – and gain tips to put life back into your old artwork.
Leading painting restorer Haydn Roberts will demonstrate his skills at an Oil Painting Restoration Day at St Francis of Assisi Church Hall, 110 Warwick Road, on August 8, from 10am-4pm.
You can take your oil paintings along to gain restoration advice and also obtain a free valuation. Fine art expert Adrian Rathbone, associate director at Hansons Auctioneers, will be on hand to assess all types of paintings and prints.
He said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to gain a free valuation of any artwork you may have at home as well as professional advice about oil painting restoration. Plus, if you are considering selling your paintings, you can enter them into a future Hansons auction.”
General antique valuations can also be carried out on the day with all types of objects and curios assessed for free including pottery, jewellery, watches and silver.
