TV antiques show favourite Charles Hanson is hosting an Oxfordshire treasure hunt to help a school raise funds.
Charles, a popular personality on some of Britain’s best-loved shows such as Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip, will be at Charlbury Primary School, Crawborough, on Saturday, November 25, 2-4pm, to lead a special antiques valuation event.
He said: “Dig out those antique treasures, heirlooms and collectables and together we can enjoy a little bit of antiques magic. Perhaps it’s your turn to have an Antiques Roadshow-style moment.
“Nearly everyone has something tucked away at home, maybe an inherited object that they’d like to know more about. Pop down to see me and we can chat about history, heritage and your item’s potential value.
“People will be invited to donate £5 to Charlbury Primary School in exchange for the valuation. I hope to help raise funds to support the school and its pupils.
“It’s often at events like these that I uncover wonderful treasures that go on to excel at auction. I’m happy to assess anything and everything including ceramics, jewellery, silver, coins, toys, antiquarian books, works of art, clocks and more. Surprise me!
“I love meeting people and I’m looking forward to an afternoon filled with fun. If people wish, their objects can be consigned to auction on the days. Perhaps I can help pave the way to an auction windfall.”
Items can be entered into a wide range of sales with Hansons Auctioneers.
Charles will be at Charlbury Primary School, Crawborough, Charlbury, OX7 3TX, on November 25, 2-4pm. No appointment necessary. To find out more, email [email protected] or call 01283 733988.
