TV’s Charles Hanson heading to BURTON in Staffordshire to find auction treasures

 |  By Kendal Cooper

If you’ve always wondered what that antique treasure, quirky collectable or piece of jewellery might be worth you can find out for free in  Burton.

TV personality and antiques expert Charles Hanson will be at Sinai Park House, Shobnall Road, on Tuesday April 18 from 10am-noon – and he can’t wait to see what the people of East Staffordshire will bring along.

He said: “We’ve made some fabulous finds in Burton over the years and now is certainly a great time to sell. In March a box of pottery brought along for free valuation at Hansons Auctioneers’ Etwall headquarters made £100,000 at auction thanks to some Chinese treasures inside. The seller had only expected to make around £30 to £50.

“If you’re curious to know the value of an object, perhaps something you have inherited, do come to see me. I can also assess jewellery too, and with gold prices at an all-time high it’s wise to consider turning unwanted objects into a windfall.”

As well as jewellery Hansons Auctioneers can assess all types of antiques and collectables including ceramics, militaria and medals, coins and banknotes, books, toys, railwayana, watches, silver and memorabilia relating to sport, music and films. If you like the guide price items can be consigned into auction on the day.

To book a free valuation with Charles Hanson at Sinai Park House, Shobnall Road, Burton-on-Trent, Staffs, DE13 0QJ, on April 18 email  [email protected] or call 01283 733988.
