Islamic art appears to be a real crowd pleaser and the bidders’
favourite.
The lots in the February Fine Art & Antiques auction held by
Hansons London, really showed the strength of the market.
The Star Lot of the whole auction was a late 19th Century leather and gilt bound copy of the
Quran in tooled leather case. This
unique item had the bidders battling each other until the hammer fell at a
spectacular £6,500.
