Hansons Auctioneers has expanded its growing team with the appointment of Fine Art and antiques specialist Ian Hall.
Ian has joined the company as a consultant and will be focusing on the development and growth of professional and private client services. He brings with him 37 years of experience within the antiques sector.
Mr Hall said: “Having previously worked alongside Charles Hanson, owner of Hansons, a number of years ago, and knowing his ambition and passion for art and antiques, I decided this would be a great opportunity.
Mr Hanson said: “Hansons is going through a period of rapid expansion, consequently Ian’s vast experience and expertise will be hugely beneficial as sales continue to grow and develop at our four auction centres in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Oxfordshire and London.
Mr Hall has wide experience of assessing all types of Fine Art objects with an emphasis on silver. His knowledge covers handling and appraising fine silverware from the 17th to the 20th century by all leading silversmiths and factories. He can also advise on insurance, probate and family division.
