Eric Knowles adds antique pedigree to Hansons’ team of consultants

 |  By Kendal Cooper

Hansons Auctioneers are delighted to be working alongside renowned antiques expert Eric Knowles.

Mr Knowles, who originates from Lancashire, has won the heart of antiques fans thanks to numerous TV appearances on shows such as Antiques Roadshow, Going For A Song, Going, Going Gone and Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is.

Eric, who along with Hansons has premises in renowned antiques centre The Pantiles Arcade in Royal Tunbridge Wells, will be supporting Hansons’ in the south with regard to private client and valuation work. He will also bring his wealth of knowledge to antique valuation days.

Charles Hanson, owner of Hansons Auctioneers, said: “If you have a charitable event in mind or wish to host an antiques valuation event, Hansons and Eric Knowles would be delighted to hear from you.

“It is a privilege to be working with Eric at Hansons. When I was growing up Eric was a star contributor on TV’s Antiques Roadshow and other programmes including Going for a Song.

“He inspired my career and helped to lead me to where I am now.  I’m delighted he has joined Hansons as a consultant to assist with client home visits and private collection. He has a broad knowledge gained over decades in the business. His specialist interest is decorative arts, 20th Century design, ceramics and glass.

“Hansons will be utilising Mr Knowles’ expertise to enhance services for clients across the South of England, London, Oxfordshire and elsewhere. “
