Just consigned into our June sales is a striking limited edition red vase featuring what appears to be a backhoe loader, a familiar site with JCB’s world headquarters being in nearby Rocester, Staffordshire.
Information provided with the piece tells us it’s a handmade purse vase featuring a digger by Anita Harris Art Pottery, number 12 of only 25 made for Leighton Antiques. It is currently being valued and is one of several items consigned into our June Ceramics and Glassware Auction.
Art pottery is highly collectable right now so if you have a quirky piece at home, we’d love to see it. Studio pottery from the 1960s and 70s is in vogue but anything goes. Likewise, if you’re considering parting with classics such as Royal Worcester or Crown Derby, the market is strong.
