Rare Books Sell For Thousands

Jim has carved an international reputation for his finds and is renowned as a Harry Potter expert. So far, he’s found 19 rare hardback first issues of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Only 500 were printed in 1997. The top Potter price achieved so far is £69,000.

But there have been many other successes – and much older finds. Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations,1776, first edition, made £65,000 at auction.  Jim breaks auction records and makes news all over the world.

His talent is noted in academic circles, too. When he catalogued A Prime Minister’s Life: The Harold & Mary Wilson Collection, his work was recorded by Oxford’s Bodleian Library.
