Could your jewellery dazzle at auction? Let Kate Bliss by the judge at  free valuation event in RICHMOND

 |  By Kendal Cooper

Jewellery, silver and designer watches are sparking intense demand at auction and you can find out if your treasures could sparkle under the hammer.

Kate Bliss, a familiar face on TV antiques shows, will be at hosting a free valuation event on Wednesday, March 6, 10am-4pm, at Hansons Richmond Auction Centre,  6 Parkleys Parade, Upper Ham Road, Richmond. The firm hosts monthly sales and every one delivers exceptional results in the jewellery section.

Chris Kirkham, associate director of the auction house, said: “The market for antique and vintage fine jewellery, silver and watches is going from strength to strength. We were thrilled with the results in our February auction. Some super prices were achieved.

“For example, a lady’s Omega watch hammered at £1,040, a gold charm bracelet raced to £1,380 and a gold ring with Roman intaglio achieved £600. All types of jewellery along with vintage designer watches are highly sought after.

“Quite often people don’t even realise they own something of value. For example, we spotted  a Cartier pendant in a box of costume jewellery – much to our vendor’s amazement! Gems like this, often inherited, can languish in homes for decades.

“If you are curious about the value of your treasures and considering selling at auction,  do pop down to see Kate. She can help you maximise the value of your assets.”

Meet Kate Bliss on March 6, 10am-4pm,  at Hansons Richmond, 6 Parkleys Parade, Upper Ham Road, Richmond, TW10 5LF, no appointment necessary. Kate will also be at the Richmond auction centre on April 10, 10am-4pm.

Valuations – by appointment – of jewellery, silver and antiques are available at Hansons Richmond, Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm. To book, call 207 018 9300 or email [email protected].

Free home visits to assess collections are also available. Enquiries: Chris Kirkham on 07469 353077.
