From education to making memories, Hansons Auctioneers are delighted to invite the public back into saleroom to experience the theatre, drama and romance of bidding in person and seeing items prior to sale.
Pre-auction viewing events and saleroom bidding are back as Hansons takes strides to re-establish standard practices in place prior to the pandemic.
Commenting on the public-proactive move Charles Hanson, owner of Hansons Auctioneers, said: “Since the onset of Covid our business model, like many other businesses, has changed substantially. We now have more efficient lines of appointments for valuations and dispatch which have proved beneficial for all.

“Thanks to the ease of online bidding across the UK and the world, auctions have flourished, even in lockdown. However, one thing we have missed is seeing clients in the saleroom.
“We want to welcome both buyers and sellers back to handle history, see items they wish to buy, bid in person or witness the excitement of seeing their treasures go under the hammer.
“From the sentiment of saying goodbye to a lot that’s been a prized family possession to ensuring buyers don’t miss out on one last bid, it’s exhilarating to experiencing the adrenalin-pumping moment before I say ‘going going gone’.
“As an auctioneer I oversee hundreds of bids coming in online from all over the world but I also thrive on seeing people in the saleroom. An auction is often like a party atmosphere. It is wonderful to bring people together and make history.

“I often invite sellers to come to auction. They can witness our service and it allows us to be accountable for what we sell. It is also exhilarating for buyers to be bidding against someone sat next to them one minute, then against an online buyer in New York or Hong Kong.
“To generate and encourage visitors, Hansons offer attractive terms to both buyers and sellers who visit the saleroom.
“Hansons’ Derbyshire headquarters are perfectly situated for a morning out with a tearoom next door and The Seven Wells pub nearby. We invite buyers and sellers to come to our new early-bird viewing sessions on sale days from 8.45am-9.30am, then sit and enjoy the theatre of the auction from 9.30am when sales begin.
“As a company we thrive on making memories for sellers and buyers alike. We hope clients will rise above the hesitancy sparked by the huge impact of Covid to join us once again. They will be made very welcome.”
