Hansons Auctioneers, the famous Derbyshire business launched in 2005 by Charles Hanson, is expanding to London.
Hansons London will have its official launch on January 15, 2018, and has already opened a consignment and valuations office in Hampton Court Village, led by Sue Haswell and Chris Kirkham.
Monthly fine art and antiques auctions will be held throughout the year in Normansfield Theatre, Teddington, with the first one taking place on February 10.
Charles Hanson, owner of Hansons Auctioneers, said: “It has always been a great ambition of mine to expand my business to London and I am delighted to be able to bring a business established in Derbyshire to the capital.
“Our reputation and success, earned over several years, has made this possible and I am looking forward to making Hansons a well-known and respected name in London.
“We have found two wonderful locations. Our Hampton Court Village office is already open and the splendid venue for our auctions is a fine grade II listed theatre, originally built in 1877. It’s a popular filming location and has been used for TV’s Downton Abbey and Agatha Christie’s Poirot.”
