Hansons Auctioneers’ first Specialist Wine Whisky & Spirits sale of 2024 featured an outstanding collection of 372 lots that captivated Wine, Whisky, and Spirits enthusiasts.
Passionate enthusiasts and collectors from around the world registered for the sale in record numbers, hopeful of successfully bidding on the collection of over 1,000 bottles. They included a diverse range of offerings including Champagne, wine, Armagnac, Cognac, whisky, and various other spirits.
The sale was once again a journey through various eras with brandy from the 1890s , mid-century gins, whiskies from the 1970s and 80s and outstanding wines from relatively modern vintages. There was even a port from the same year as the sinking of the Titanic, 1912.
Stuart Palmer, Head of Wine, Whisky & Spirits at Hansons Auctioneers, was delighted with results for his vendors and picks out a few of his favourite lots. Prices shown are inclusive of buyer’s premium.
