On August 10 Hansons is proudly playing host to The Travelling Auctioneers Sale for the BBC TV show of the same name. Here are the top 5 lots set to go under the hammer – and bidding is open.

Lot 5 | Diamond delight

A diamond set, two-tone 14ct gold bracelet, comprising alternate yellow and white gold rectangular domed links, each set with a line of four channel set round brilliant cut diamonds, total diamond weight approx. 1.90 carats, link width approx. 4mm, concealed diamond set box clasp, length approx. 18cm, total gross weight approx. 21.4gms along with an illusion set 9ct white gold tennis bracelet.  £500-700

Lot 15 | Curb appeal

A 1983 two pound coin, weight approx. 16gms, along with a 9ct gold mount and 9ct gold flat link curb chain, length approx. 30”, total combined gross weight approx. 20.7gms. £750-850

Lot 114 | Cocktail time

A 20th century novelty silver plated cocktail shaker in the form of a fire extinguisher, one handled and with engraved shield to body stating ‘Manhattan, 1 part Vermouth, 2 parts Bourbon, 1 dish Angostura Bitters’. £150-250

Lot 125 | Tea for two

Keith Murray for Mappin & Webb – a tea and coffee set consisting of tea pot and coffee pot, both with ebonised handles and finials, with accompanying matching milk jug and sugar bowl. All marked Prince’s Plate and in the Art Deco, conical-stepped style, circa 1930s. £350-450

Lot 173 | Russian knight

Possibly Designed by Ivan Bilibin, a rectangular early 20th century Russian box with hinged lid decorated with intricate detailed knight on horseback within forest scene, the box with ‘wicker’ like designed sides, and each side having detailed bird designed panels, most likely Peacocks. Lockable but no key. The base engraved “P.D 1914”. £100-150
