Bidding was as buoyant in the Banbury Fine Art, Antiques & Collectors Auction on April 1. Nearly 350 lots went under the hammer offering an eclectic mix of items.
Jasper Marsh, auctioneer and senior valuer at the Oxfordshire saleroom, said: “The demand for antiques and collectables from bidders worldwide is extremely strong. A broad huge range of objects are sought after including ceramics, antique and vintage toys, art, furniture and textiles.
“Our top lot was a stunning collection of Royal Crown Derby Imari pattern tableware. We have noted increasing demand – and prices – for Imari tableware across Hansons’ salerooms.”
