If your old vinyl record collection or music memorabilia is gathering dust why not tune into their auction potential?
Hansons’ June Music Auction produced strong results including £5,900 for a set of Beatles autographs and £1,100 for a 1969 copy of Led Zeppelin’s first album, below, featuring a rare cover.
In addition, a good collection of LP records including rock, pop and prog, mostly from the 70s and 80s, achieved £200. Most of the vinyl was in good plus condition and artists including Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Everly Brothers, The Animals, Paul Simon and Elton John.
Back to The Beatles, and a rare 1962 USA original 8in acetate of Love Me Do/PS I Love You, above, achieved £560. Meanwhile, a 1960s original cased Beatles record player in working order, below, made £150.
