More than 400 lots including furniture, jewellery, glassware, ceramics and more will go under the hammer on February 5 in a Fine Art, Antiques and Collectors Auction at our Banbury Saleroom – Hanson, Holloway’s & Ross. Here, our Oxfordshire valuer Jasper Marsh picks out five of his team’s favourite items in the sale.

Time to buy? | Lot 344

This late 19th century black forest ‘apostle’ clock, below right, is part of a strong clock section consigned by a Buckingham collector. £200-£300

Wartime memorabilia | Lot 158

This Second World War AFC medal group and related items, above left, awarded to Douglas Moseley, will appeal to militaria collectors. £800-£1,200 The auction also includes the airman’s flying jacket.

Glorious glass | Lot 69

We love this St Louis paperweight, below left, given to the vendor by his mother on her return from France in the 1920s. £800-£1,000.
