Dr Richard Halliday, head of Fine Art Ceramics at Hansons Auctioneers, is proud to announce the next ceramics auction on September 14, 2021.
The auction offers a wide variety of British and Continental ceramics, including a large section of Creamware, Meissen, Staffordshire and Transferware. Within this section is another part of the famous Kentish collection. Many major factories such as Spode, Rogers, Adams and Swansea are well-represented with patterns across most genres.

- An Impressive 20th century 32cm tall Waterford Crystal Champagne Bucket. Classic Waterford shape. Unboxed
2. A large late 19th century Meissen figure “After the Bath”, 47cm tall.
3. An 18th century tin-glazed earthenware blue and white named and dated kettle stand, c. 1787. The outside is painted with scenes, the inside is painted; “CAO, 1787”.
4. An early 19th century Wedgwood creamware armorial dessert dish, c. 1810. It has a green-painted and gilded rim. The centre has a hand-painted armorial that includes an elephant and reads; ‘Nemo Fidelior’, possibly related to the Joly Family. Marked to the underside. 29cm wide.
5. An early 19th century blue and white transfer-printed platter of Masonic interest, c. 1825. It is decorated with a view of the Masonic Institution of Girls, St. George’s Field, Southwark. It also bears the retailer’s mark for John Burn, Newport Market, London. 36 cm wide.
6. A full set of framed late 19th century blue and white transfer-printed Wedgwood month tiles, c. 1880. Each tile is titled and 15cm wide and marked to the reverse.
