June’s monthly jewellery, silver and watch sale brims with exciting lots you’d never find on the high street including vintage time pieces and antique jewellery.

Here Head of Jewellery Helen Smith picks out some of her favourite lots in the Jewellery and Watch auction on Thursday June 13. This important monthly sale is part of the June 13-18 Derbyshire Antiques and Collectors Auction. Entries invited for July’s sale.

Lot 118 | Diamond and sapphire cluster ring

If you want to make a bold statement this exquisite sapphire and diamond 18ct gold cluster ring offers an oval mixed-cut sapphire, approx 4×2.5mm, within a border of old cut diamonds, claw set throughout, setting approx 9mm wide, ridged shank, size N1/2, total gross weight approx 4.5gms in original velvet case | £300-400

Lot 153 | Striking bracket

I love this heavy, 9ct gold curblink bracelet, link width approx 13mm, some links marked 9 375, padck clasp, chain length approx 19cm, weight approx 83.5gms | £1300-1500

Lot 161 | Edwardian delight

Edwardian jewellery is in demand and it’s easy to see why. This amethyst and pearl set 15ct gold pendant brooch is outstandingly beautiful. It has scroll and foliate pearl-set decoration, set to the centre with a small round mixed cut amethyst, the base suspending a pearl, length approx 50mm, pin and scroll fittings with pearl set bale, stamped 15ct, total gross weight approx 6.7gms, along with a 9ct gold belcher link chain, length approx 17”, applied tab stamped 9ct, weight approx 6gms in original fitted heart shaped case. | £500-600

LOT 163 | Cameo stick pin

A great collectors piece comes in the shape of a carved agate cameo gold stick pin, carved to represent a classical female form, size approx 16x20mm, to a later collet set unmarked yellow metal mount, possibly 15ct minimum, total gross weight approx 6.3gms | £300-400

LOT 286 | 1930s Rolex

Designer vintage watches are hugely sought after and Rolex is an iconic manufacturer. This gents vintage steel and gold cased Rolex wristwatch, circa 1930s, has a round dial cream dial with applied gilt Arabic markers, subsidiary dial at 6, blue steel hands, to a gold and steel square case, width approx 20mm, marked to reverse 20548 2503 with crown motif, missing full strap | £800-1,000

LOT 293 | Vintage Bulova

Another watch set to get collectors’ hearts racing is a gentleman’s gold plated Bulova Accutron Spaceview wristwatch, circa 1970s, comprising a round exhibition dial, with baton markers, outer seconds track and gilt hands, case approx 35mm, case numbered 1-515848 M7, to a Kreisler  Accutron Coffin link gold plated bracelet strap. The Accutron story began in 1960 with the introduction of the original Bulova Accutron, which quickly gained fame as the ‘Spaceview’. This timepiece was not just a watch, but a symbol of a new era in timekeeping | £500-600
