Hansons History

Founded in 2005, Hanson Auctioneers’ team of general and specialist valuers cover every aspect of the auction world, including fine art, toys, memorabilia, coins, stamps, historica, jewellery, watches, country pursuits items, vintage clothing, wines and spirits and more.

Based in Etwall, Derbyshire, our modern showroom seats more than 150 people and has brought the excitement, passion and drama of the auction to thousands of people.

Throughout the year it is the venue for international auction sales of antique silver, jewellery, ceramics, glass, pictures, clocks and furniture, specialist collectors’ items, book, stamp and coin auctions, plus it hosts monthly antique and collectors’ auctions featuring antiques and decorative items from estates across the UK.

Hansons also has valuation centres in Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Birmingham, Shropshire, Stoke-on-Trent, West Midlands and Warwick with regional representatives throughout the UK, making it easier than ever to discover any hidden treasures in your home.

Every week, both in our saleroom and at venues around the country, our team of valuers and celebrity consultants offers free valuations and the opportunity to consign to auction.

Whether you want to make some extra money from your objects, embrace the story around a cherished family heirloom or get lucky with unknown treasures, our experts can guide you every step of the way.

Plus, our auction house is a regular filming location for Bargain Hunt, so if you come to visit us, you could even catch a glimpse of yourself on TV.
