As anyone who has seen me on TV shows like Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip will know, I love the drama of the auction room.
I’m passionate about bringing my enthusiasm, charm and energy to the rostrum to make every auction a memorable and joyful experience.
I’ve always been passionate about antiques. My career, which started at Christie's, in London, has led to numerous television appearances. This has given me the opportunity to bring the fascinating world of antiques to TV viewers not just in the UK but around the world.
Over the years, it’s been a privilege to bring the art of auctioneering to many prestigious celebrity and fundraising events across the UK, including a star-studded auction for BBC’s Children in Need.
Hansons Auctioneers was launched in 2005 and has enabled me and the fantastic team here to put thousands of antiques, vintage, retro and collectable items under the hammer - and uncover some extraordinary stories and histories along the way.
For example, in 2017 an antique Chinese plate found in a South Derbyshire kitchen cupboard sold for £230,000. It had exact replicas in China’s Guangdong Museum and the National Museum of China.
Every day is special at Hansons. I’m always ready to bring the story behind every antique we see to life and can’t wait to see what each day will bring.
I’m completely passionate about antiques and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. In fact, I feel blessed to have been able to make a career out of something I absolutely love.
