As anyone who has seen me on TV shows like Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip will know, I love the drama of the auction room and the excitement of seeing bids coming in.
Selling with success is my passion and I do my utmost to secure the best possible outcome for our valued clients, bringing my enthusiasm and energy to the rostrum.
We would be nothing but for the people who bring their treasures to our door and I am always delighted when people contact me to arrange a valuation - which often lead to wonderful finds.
In 2017 I found an antique Chinese plate in a Derbyshire kitchen cupboard. It had an exact replica in the National Museum of China! It sold for £230,000. Selling items of this calibre can be life-changing for their owners. It's an honour to help them.
I’ve always loved antiques. My career began at Christie's, in London. I went on to launch my Hansons Auctioneers in Etwall, Derbyshire, in 2005 and in January 2018 Hansons London launched. You may also have seen me on television. Since 2002, I have appear on several antiques shows. It's a joy to take part.
I'm also passionate about supporting charities and it’s been a privilege to bring the art of auctioneering to prestigious fundraising events, including a star-studded auction for BBC’s Children in Need. I feel blessed to have been able to make a career out of something I absolutely love and, if you come to Hansons to sell or buy, I will do my utmost to make your experience the best it possibly can be.
