Hansons Auctioneers are proud to present the latest Curated and Connoisseur Ceramics Auction on June 9 at Bishton Hall, Staffordshire, writes Dr Richard Halliday.

Most ceramic areas have good representation amid an eclectic mix of lots including 18th century porcelain, 20th century Art Deco in Clarice Cliff, Wilkinson and more. The event also brings to auction early stone ware Bellarmine jugs.

There is a large section of 18th and 19th century transfer-printed wares from the Kentish Collection. Included here are extreme rarities such as Spode’s Blossom, Shepherdess, The Turk, Country Scene, Musicians, Aesop’s Fables and some exciting and seldom-seen shapes such as a bough pot, pilgrim flasks, knife rests, a dog bowl and much more.

The catalogue will be online from May 29. For condition reports, general enquiries or to book a telephone bid, please liaise directly with sale manager Dr Richard Halliday: [email protected]
