The top 8 furniture lots in our March sales - and why lockdown is increasing demand

Here, Hansons’ furniture expert Edward Rycroft, shines the spotlight on successful items in the March furniture sales.

An eclectic mix of furniture from different centuries attracted bidders in Hansons’ March auctions.

Our sales offered a range of furniture to suit many tastes from the 17th Century through to the late 20th Century.

Edward said: "Items from different periods sold well showing the strength of the current furniture market. This is, perhaps, because people are spending more time at home and want to improve there surroundings. If this theory is correct, then the current prices may not last forever, so now is a good time sell."
