Designer handbags are making a glamorous appearance in our March sales – and not for the first time.

Vintage fashion and accessories are a growing market thanks to environmentally-conscious consumers who prefer to own pre-loved designer brands rather than buy new.

This not only helps the planet it makes it possible to own an iconic brand that might otherwise be out of reach. Buying vintage makes luxury items affordable for many.

Right now, we’re witness growing demand for accessories from iconic brands such as Chanel, Hermes, Dior and Cartier to name a few.

Consequently, our March 31 Fine Jewellery, Silver and Watches auction includes designer handbags. For example, we’re selling a Christian Dior Lady Dior handbag in black lambskin leather, estimate £500-£700.

You’ll also find examples from Chanel. Their vintage bags are a staple in many collectors’ wardrobes and became classics the moment they launched in 1929.

Celebrities and royalty past and present, from Audrey Hepburn and Princess Diana to Rihanna, have aired designer handbag style. Thanks to our March auction, a touch of luxury could be yours too.
