Tune into the ultimate gift for an EastEnders fan in our January auction

Love EastEnders – and its theme tune? If the answer’s yes, an item in our January 16-22 Antiques and Collectors sale could be your dream buy.

We’re selling one page from the BBC TV soap opera’s original theme tune manuscript, as penned by British musician and composer Simon May. Provenance with the lot shows he donated it to a previous auction to aid a good cause.

It comes complete with a letter of authenticity from Simon dated May, 1999 in which he writes.

‘Enclosed is one of my original sketched pages written in 1985 for E8 as it was then called before being renamed EastEnders. Also enclosed, a recent signed CD of mine which includes music from EastEnders, Howards Way, Trainer. The last track ‘Wolfgang’ is my personal favourite. It’s about a few days I spent in Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace. Thank you for supporting a good cause!’

The lot, including the CD, has an estimate of £70-£100. Catalogue due online by January 11. To find out more, email [email protected].
