New team powers Hansons Historica - Coins, Banknotes & Antiquities Department

A team of experts have joined forces to build and enhance Hansons Auctioneers’ specialist Historica, Coins and Antiquities department.

The specialist team will be led by William Hayward, an expert valuer of milled coinage, foreign coinage and banknotes.

William will be supported in his role by fellow department head Mark Becher, a valuer of multi-period coins and antiquities.

The Historica team will be further enhanced by Alan Smith, valuer of Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, Anglo Saxon and Medieval coins and artefacts.

In addition, Adam Staples, a valuer of multi-period coins and antiquities, will be on hand to offer his expertise.

Hansons’ next Historica & Metal Detecting Finds Auction is on March 26-27 at Hansons, Heage Lane, Etwall, Derbyshire, DE65 6LS. Entries are invited until March 6.
