Delve into your attics and drawers - or even under the bed - because a whole host of free antique valuation events are starting in Staffordshire in July.
And those dusty old coins, vintage or antique objects, unwanted jewellery, watches or antiquarian books might just net you an auction windfall.
Experts from Hansons Auctioneers will be at:
- The Crown Hotel, 38 High Street, Stone, ST15 8AS, on July 1, 10am-1pm
- The Moat House, Lower Penkridge Road, Action Trussell, ST17 0RJ, on July 4, 10am-1pm
- The Swan Hotel, 46a Greengate Street, Stafford, ST16 2JA, on July 10, 10am-1pm
Charles Hanson, owner of Hansons Auctioneers, said: “Do have a look to see what you have tucked away at home. Every week someone brings an object to show us which they think is worthless, only to discover the opposite is true.
“We can value everything and anything, from works of art, toys and sports memorabilia to paintings, ceramics, fine wine and whisky and militaria objects.”
Hansons has recently purchased Georgian mansion Bishton Hall in Wolseley Bridge as its country house auction venue and is keen to offer its services to people in the locality.
Mr Hanson said: “It has always been one of my dreams to own an atmospheric period property such as this. There can be no better place to showcase objects. Why not put your antiques into our treasured interior?
“These new valuation events will reach out to people throughout the area and, if you can’t come along to one of our events, do contact us as we can arrange free home visits. We can’t wait to meet the good people of Staffordshire and turn some of their forgotten treasures into windfalls.”
